Advisor Program-Pakistan

Bayer Pakistan’s Crop Science division had launched the Advisor Program with an aim to strengthen reach to smallholder farmers through ‘Advisor Program’, an app-based service for Agri community. After successful pilot of the program in Autumn 2018, it has now expanded to India, Philippines and Peru with launch planned in Q3 & Q4 in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Advisor program has:

• created an employment opportunity in rural areas by inducting a fleet of rural entrepreneurs: Advisors,
• assured that farmers buy the authentic product by bridging the gap between farmers and the authorized sellers
• enabled farmers the access to quality advisory services 

Advisor platform is pegged with a loyalty program whereby Advisors can earn loyalty benefits for providing services to farmers. In current year in Pakistan, 237 Advisors have reached 13,000 farmers which has led to an incremental earning opportunity and improved standard of living of Advisors in rural areas whereby farmers got the updated Farm Advisory and assurance to buy authentic product. 

Sajid Manzoor is a top performing advisor from Arifwala who has been associated to the program since 2019. Owing to the incremental earnings from the Advisor program, Sajid Manzoor has been able to purchase a motorbike. It has enabled him to increase his geographical and farmer reach and made his commute easier as previously he had to rely on public transport.
